Per il sesto anno consecutivo torna Il Maggiodei Libri, la campagna nazionale promossa dal Centro per il libro ela lettura del Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e delTurismo, sotto l'Alto Patronato del Presidente dellaRepubblica. Nato nel 2011 con l’obiettivo di ribadire il valore sociale dellalettura quale elemento chiave della crescita personale, culturale ecivile, il Maggio dei Libri è diventato un appuntamento atteso,abituale e diffuso in tutta Italia: inizia il 23 aprile, Giornatamondiale UNESCO del libro e del diritto d’autore, e si conclude il31 maggio.Il claim istituzionale di questa edizione è Se son librifioriranno, accompagnato dagli altri messaggi e visual Se leggovivo più di 7 vite, Liberi di leggere e Il libro portaconsiglio.Quattro slogan per diffondere in tutta la Penisola l’amore per lalettura e racchiudere il senso dell’iniziativa: leggere facrescere, nutre la mente, aiuta a far sbocciare nuove idee econsente di vivere infinite esperienze.Il libro esce dal suo contesto abituale e dilaga sul territorio:dalle grandi città ai piccoli centri, regioni, province, comuni,scuole, biblioteche, associazioni culturali, case editrici,librerie, circoli di lettori, promuoveranno iniziative perintercettare anche persone che di solito non leggono.Quest’anno Il Maggio dei libri suggerisce alcuni filoni chiave, chegli organizzatori che aderiscono alla campagna potranno seguirecome linee guida per le loro iniziative. All’interno dell’Istituto,ubicato a Roma nel complesso del Vittoriano, è raccolto un Archivioche conserva un vasto patrimonio documentario e artistico checostituisce una delle fonti principali per lo studio dell’Italia edel contesto internazionale dalla metà del XVIII alla fine dellaprima guerra mondiale.
